Crystal Ball Note Page

This might be my favorite! I really enjoyed coloring the crystal ball and it was easier and much more relaxing than I imagined. I started super-light with the 20% grey and then added just a bit of the 70% in the darker corners.

Pencils used:

For the Crystal Ball and Stand:
  • 20% Cool Grey
  • 70% Cool Grey
  • Gold
For the Aquamarine, Daisies, and Stars:
  • Light Aqua
  • 20% Cool Grey
  • Sunburst Yellow
  • Yellowed Orange
  • Limepeel
  • Pale Vermillion

Daisy Planner Pages

I’d like to try this page again with all white flowers, but for the sake of being colorful (as I did a lot of  “natural and neutral” color schemes last month…) I did the daisies up in pink, purple and blue!

Pencils used:

  • Mulberry
  • Violet
  • Aquamarine
  • Dark Green
  • Sunburst Yellow
  • Yellowed Orange
  • Pale Vermillion

April Buttercup Calendar Spread

Aww!! This one was a happy surprise for me, I wasn’t sure how the colors would work out, but I absolutely loved watching it come together and the results make me smile. There’s a simple sweetness to it, yeah?! I think it’s the rainbow-ness of red, orange, yellow, green… and then the neutral grey for clear quartz rounds it out. Also, coloring the lone pansy was a joy, for some reason, using the black pencil was thrilling. Note to self: more pansies!

Pencils used:

  • Silver
  • 70% Warm Grey
  • Canary Yellow
  • Sunburst Yellow
  • Yellowed Orange
  • Crimson Red
  • Poppy Red
  • Pale Vermillion
  • Black

April “Moon Roots” Magical Spell

On the verge of being too colorful… but I love the way the moon came out! If I were to color this again, I might pick more subdued and less contrasted shades for the flowers. Maybe pale blues?! <3

Pencils used:

For the Magical Moon:
  • Cream
  • Yellow Chartreuse
  • Sunburst Yellow
For the Flowers:
  • Violet
  • Orange
  • Spring Green
  • Olive Green

  • Olive Green
  • 20% Warm Grey
