Ostara Ritual Ideas to Manifest A Bright Future

Ostara Ritual Ideas

Make the Most of Your Ostara Ritual

The Spring Equinox is the time where the earth’s energy for new growth and opportunity is at its strongest. Life-energy is rising all around us. It’s a super-powerful time to set your intentions for the upcoming year. If you want to use this energy to make magic happen in your own life, here are some Ostara Ritual ideas to try out or use for inspiration.

(And if you want to know more about the coloring page and pencils used, scroll down a bit.)

You can do a powerful intention-setting ritual with no magical tools or accessories (or experience! Ha!) Or you can do something more elaborate or ceremonial if you are so inspired. The point is to do something, for yourself and your own intentions alone. It can be meditating deeply in a closet for 10 minutes or journaling wildly for a half an hour. I like to do a solitary ritual on my own, even if I am meeting with a group or coven thing.

The Most Important Things

The most important thing is to be intentional with what you truly desire. Then make the time on the day of the Spring Equinox to meditate, write it down, and get in tune with the positive feelings of what you want to create.

It’s an opportunity to use the brightness of the sun and the life-energy, growth, and optimism of the earth—so look ahead to the future and feel that now. Do whatever you need to do to feel optimistic about your goals and intentions. This is your time to “plant the seeds” of your year ahead, and then let them grow with the energy of the year.

Spring Magic with Nature

Another way to “flow” some spring magic into your everyday life is to be aware of the growth of plants and to weave your life intentions and what you want to manifest into that observation. I do this in my garden as I watch things grow and change each day, but you don’t have to have your own garden. You can use a houseplant or take a daily walk to notice earth energy in a botanical garden, a park, or a neighbor’s garden. You can also watch the way the sun shifts through your windows each day, getting brighter as the spring progresses.

As you observe this energy, feel the same intentions and positive feelings of what you desire. If you see flowers bloom and you want new love to bloom in your life, find the feeling of how wonderful love feels every time you see flowers, and know that it’s coming to you. If you’re looking to switch careers to something more meaningful, find the feeling of how amazing it’ll feel when you are putting your energy into something that gives you purpose. This is a simple, every-day kind of magic that can help you set a positive, growth-mindset for the year ahead, and help you tune into the power of the seasons and earth energy.

More Ideas

If you’re looking for more creative Ostara Ritual ideas as well as these pages to color yourself, they are two more versions (my personal favorites!) in the Planner for a Magical 2018. One version is a deeper meditation, and the other is a cute, crafty version involving eggs, seeds, and note scrolls.

Hope this inspires you to do something to set your own intentions on Ostara, the Spring Equinox!

  1. I’ve purchased both your books to be incorporated into my BOS. I love working on them and writing my own notes…. Do you have a full sized 8 1/2 x 11 book that has specific sabbat pages?

hi Monica! My first book, “Coloring Book of Shadows” with the white cover has one page for each Sabbat! I’m considering doing a full book on Sabbats but don’t have a solid plan for that yet xo
